<\/em>It\u2019s obvious that we live in the end-times and, therefore, it is essential to learn what God wants us to know about the coming of Christ and the future He has in store for us. God has given us a good outline of what will be taking place along with instructions as to how we are to live – and He has given us hope.

One book that is often overlooked when it comes to studying the future is the Psalms. (Yes, the Psalms was written to the Jews, but it’s also written to you.) My purpose in this post, and in the related article, “The Psalms and Prophecy”<\/a><\/em>, is to give you an extensive list of prophecy verses from the Psalms that I am convinced will be very helpful to you. I encourage you to read them, share them with others, and use them as a basis for more extensive study.

Here are the subjects that are covered: 1) The Salvation of the Jews; 2) The Judgment of the Wicked; 3) The King and His Kingdom; 4) The Land; 5) The Millennial Kingdom; 6) Your Future Relationship with God. In this post, I have listed out only some of the verses. Article 55<\/a><\/em> is much longer and more detailed for it contains my complete list of verses.\u00a0

1) The Salvation of the Jews:<\/strong> God promised to save a remnant of Jews at the end of Daniel\u2019s 70th<\/sup> week. This chosen race, this royal priesthood, this holy nation will be living in Israel, helping repopulate the earth, and worshiping and serving Christ the King. (Is. 45:17, Jer. 31:31-34, Dan. 9:24, Rom. 11:25-27). Ps. 98:2-3<\/strong> – \u201cThe Lord has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 111:9<\/strong> – \u201cHe has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 130:7-8<\/strong> – \u201cFor with the Lord is lovingkindness, and with Him is abundant redemption, and He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.\u201d

<\/em>2) The Judgment of the Wicked: <\/strong>God is most holy, and He will not let the guilty go free. All the wicked who have ever dwelt on this earth, those who have not repented of their sins and turned to God for mercy, will perish, will be righteously and eternally punished. (Is. 24; Matt. 24:41, 46; Rev. 7-8, 16, 20:15). Psalm 1:6 –<\/strong> \u201cThe way of the wicked will perish\u201d<\/em> (6). Ps. 9:<\/strong>5 – \u201cYou have destroyed the wicked, You have blotted out their name forever and ever.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 11:6<\/strong> – \u201cUpon the wicked He will rain snares; fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 81:15 <\/strong>– \u201cThose who hate the Lord would pretend obedience to Him, and their time of punishment would be forever.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 83:17-18 <\/strong>– \u201cThose who hate You have exalted themselves\u201d <\/em>(2). Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever<\/em>.” Ps. 92:7-8<\/strong> – \u201cWhen the wicked sprouted up like grass and all who did iniquity flourished, it was only that they might be destroyed forevermore.\u201d

<\/em>3) The King and His Kingdom<\/strong>: In a world filled with evil and evil rulers, we must be convinced that the King will be coming soon, and that He will establish His kingdom on this earth. The Psalms doesn\u2019t clearly differentiate the two future kingdoms, the 1000-year kingdom and the eternal kingdom, but we do know that He will be perfectly reigning over a world filled with His glory. (2 Sam. 7:16, Is. 42:1-4, Ez. 27:21-28, Dan. 7:13-14, Zech. 14:9, Rev. 20). Psalm 2:6<\/strong> – \u201cAs for Me, I have installed My King upon Zion, My holy mountain.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 10:16<\/strong> – \u201cThe Lord is King forever and ever.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 22:28<\/strong> – \u201cThe kingdom is the Lord\u2019s and He rules over the nations.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 45:6<\/strong> – \u201cYour throne, O God, is forever and ever.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 47:2 <\/strong>– \u201cThe Lord Most High is to be feared, a great King over all the earth.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 67<\/strong> – \u201cLet all the peoples praise You, O God\u201d <\/em>(3). \u201cLet the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations on the earth\u201d<\/em> (4). Ps. 102:15-16<\/strong> – \u201cThe nations will fear the name of the Lord and all the kings of the earth Your glory. For the Lord has built up Zion. He has appeared in His glory.\u201d

<\/em>4) The Land: <\/strong>God promised to Abraham and to all believing Jews the land from the River to the Sea. But more than that, it will be the entire earth. And Christians, as coheirs with Christ, as part of this chosen race, will also inherit the earth. (Gen. 12:1-3; Jer. 32:40-41; Ez. 37:21-22; Matt. 5:5). Psalm 37:29 –<\/strong> \u201cThe righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever\u201d <\/em>(29). Ps. 85:1<\/strong> – \u201cYou showed favor to Your land, You restored the captivity of Jacob<\/em>.\u201d Ps. 105:8-11<\/strong> – \u201cHe has remembered His covenant forever\u2026the covenant\u2026 to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, \u2018To you will I will give the land of Caanan as the portion of your inheritance.\u2019\u201d<\/em> Ps. 136:16, 21-22<\/strong> – \u201cTo Him\u2026 who gave their land as a heritage, for His lovingkindness is everlasting, even a heritage to Israel His servant.\u201d

<\/em>5) The Millennial Kingdom: <\/strong>We live in a devil-ruled, sin-corrupted world. Not long from now we will live in a Christ-ruled and restored world. There will be justice, peace, love, and glory like we have not seen since the beginning days of this earth. Both the people and the land of this glorious kingdom will be blessed. And believers will be reigning with Christ the King. (Is. 6:3, Hab. 2:14, Acts 3:20-21; Rom. 8:19-22, Phil. 2:9-11, 1 John 5:19, Rev 20:6). Psalm 22:27-28<\/strong> – \u201cAll the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord\u2019s.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 47:7-8<\/strong> – \u201cGod is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a skillful psalm. God reigns over the nations.\u201d <\/em>Ps. 65:8-9 <\/strong>– \u201cThey who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy. You visit the earth and cause it to overflow.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 72<\/strong> – \u201cMay He judge Your people with righteousness\u201d<\/em> (2-3). \u201cMay He also rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth\u201d<\/em> (7-8). \u201cHe will have compassion on the poor and needy\u201d<\/em> (13). \u201c\u2026 may the whole earth be filled with His glory\u201d<\/em> (17-19). Ps. 96 <\/strong>– \u201cSing to the Lord, all the earth\u201d <\/em>(1). \u201cProclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations\u201d<\/em> (2-3). Ps. 98<\/strong> – \u201cAll the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God\u201d <\/em>(3-4). \u201cWith trumpets and the sound of the horn shout joyfully before the King, the Lord. Let the sea roar and all it contains\u201d <\/em>(5-8).Ps. 102<\/strong> – \u201cYou will arise and have compassion on Zion; for it is time to be gracious to her\u201d <\/em>(13). \u201cThe nations will fear the name of the Lord and all the kings of the earth Your glory\u201d<\/em> (15-16). Ps. 145:1<\/strong>2 – \u201cYour kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.\u201d

<\/em>6) Your Future Relationship with God:<\/strong> Having a loving, continual, never-ending relationship with Jesus Christ is, without question, the best part of your future. Dwelling in His house, seeing His face, being perfectly satisfied, learning from Him, loving Him and being loved by Him – it can\u2019t get any better than this. (Lk. 10:42; Jn. 17:3; Eph. 1:17, 3:18-19; 2 Pet. 1:2.) Psalm 11:7<\/strong> – \u201cThe Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; the upright will behold His face.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 16:11<\/strong> – \u201cIn Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 17:15<\/strong> – \u201cAs for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 23:6<\/strong> – \u201cSurely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.\u201d<\/em> Ps. 63:2-3<\/strong> – \u201cThus I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You.\u201d

<\/em>What a glorious hope! And you must know this hope, what God has planned out for you in the future, if you are to live rightly for Him in the present. I say this with utmost earnestness, sobriety, and conviction. Way too many Christians are asleep – and they need to know God’s prophetic word and wake up to the times we live in. \u201cYou know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky but why do you not analyze this present time?\u201d<\/em> (Lk. 12:56). \u201cThe night is almost gone, and the day is near\u201d<\/em> (Rom. 13:12). \u201cTherefore, be on the alert\u201d<\/em> (Matt. 24:42). \u201c\u2026 encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near.\u201d<\/em> Heb. 10:25
